1. "Personally, I believe that the torture genre is the scariest not necessarily because they're actually scary but because they're realistic to get under your skin a lot of the time and often have a really grim style"
2. "I think horror is a perfect genre for social commentary, it naturally invites it's audience to consider the darker elements of the world and in the hands of a good film maker with reigns over the tone and cinematic style a truly incredible experience can claim it's audience"
3. "Again, as someone who works in imagery it's mainly YouTube and written reviews I turn to although I've always got my eye on what's making the rounds at the film festivals"
4. "My deepest fear is that of the unknown which is why movies like the Abyss really get under my skin, having said that I do have a soft spot for shylocky old horror flicks just for their practical effects"
5. "I think that the portrayal of women in film in general is disgusting, did you know that only an estimated 22% of films released today have a female lead? It's pitiful honestly! Horror is a mixed bag because on one hand it hypes up existing toxic stereotypes in the name of tradition but at the same time, the last girl standing is a staple too with some kick-ass chicks being the victors so it's really a case by case sort of thing."
6. "I love online reviews, it allows the user to decide what content they receive rather than just be locked into whatever the main channels are spewing, having such diversity in review culture means everyone gets to shape the future of cinema!"

1. "Ghosts! Ghosts! Ghosts! I jump at the lightest of horror but the ghouls spook me most!"
2. "Well social commentary is a very flexible thing, almost any work of fiction is saying something about it's time of writing and the views of the creators, horror is no exception to this rule; at the end of the day it's all in the execution!"
3. "I'm an old fashioned kind of film goer! If word on the grape vine is good then chances are I'm going to end up being dragged along!"
4. "I'm scared I think of existential horror, well I'm scared of most things to be frank but what truly gets me is the idea of being powerless to a being beyond comprehension"
5. "I don't watch enough films to give a mixed view but I think it's getting better, so long as Hollywood recognizes that we're in a progressive, accepting age and takes a stance with it then it'll be good! I mean look at the new Start Wars, the heroes are a strong independent woman and an emotionally lost African American; they're not characterized by stereotypes or gender, just their character and world as it should be!"
6. "It saddens me that the written word is falling out of favor with mainstream audiences but it'll never go away, words are some of our strongest elements and to do away with that would take more than even complete annihilation"
